At Smiley Bees Early Learning Centre, it is our aim to provide positive learning environments with quality education to our young children through play, interests and new experiences. Our curriculum reflects our passion for teaching, and allows all of our children to learn in a way that suits them best. Our curriculum is based on the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF): BEING, BELONGING & BECOMING, which are provided by the Federal Government of Australia. We ensure that all of our programs are up to date with current information and best-practice teaching methods, so you can rest assured that your children are being educated in a professional and effective manner.
A daily routine in the life of our children varies depending on the classroom age group, however for our younger children, the day may consist of healthy nutritious breakfast, early morning play, morning tea, late morning activities, lunchtime, naptime, afternoon tea, late afternoon play (indoor or outdoor) followed by parent pickup time. The older children tend to swap naptimes for rest times instead, depending on the individual child’s needs. All activities are designed to stimulate the children’s imaginations and encourage them to develop new skills and confidence. Over the course of the week your little one may get a chance to draw, paint, build, sculpt, plant, and much more!
We strongly believe in providing feedback on a regular basis to all parents, so you know what your child has been learning and eating on any particular day. Our staff also actively encourage parent involvement in all activities at the Centre, including our curriculum. We are always open to new ideas and ways to encourage learning for your child, as we all know children learn in many different ways and it is important we understand what works best for you and your child.
